West Platt Park / River Edge

Built 1935–2020

The western edge of Platt Park approaching the South Platte River and Santa Fe Drive — a quieter, slightly grittier zone where the neighborhood's bungalow grid transitions toward light-industrial parcels, newer townhome clusters, and trail access. The South Platte River Trail, one of Denver's premier cycling and running corridors, runs along the western boundary, connecting riders north to Confluence Park and south toward Englewood and Littleton. Some blocks retain original 1930s-40s bungalows on slightly larger lots, while parcels closer to Santa Fe have been redeveloped into modern townhomes and duplexes. I-25 creates noise on the northern edge, but buyers trade that for trail access, lower prices than the Pearl Street corridor, and the emerging creative energy along Santa Fe Drive's gallery district just to the north. Weekend mornings here start with a run or ride along the river before walking to Pearl Street for brunch.
